Your baby changes every day in those first few weeks. A newborn session captures those tiny details — the curve of fingers, the weight of them in your arms, the way they fit perfectly into the world.  (Actually how you fit inside theirs!)

In time you’ll want photographs of a lively toddler bringing chaos with a wooden spoon and flying spaghetti – but the first weeks are different.

Our new family sessions work best between 8-18 days old, when babies are still naturally curled and sleepy. We can photograph at your home or in my studio in Kenmare (right next to the medical centre, with underground parking if you’re coordinating with a routine checkup).

Sessions typically run up to an hour, though we work at your  pace. If a feed or settling break is needed, we take it — no clock-watching.

Our Style and Approach

We don’t composite multiple images in Photoshop to create poses that look impressive but aren’t safe in real time. Our view is that if an image needs digital manipulation to look like that, it wasn’t safe to begin with. We also don’t go for gimmicks. No flower pots, no complex props for the sake of it.  
For us the focus is on the natural connection between you and your baby, not forced setups that’ll look dated in five years.

All packages include access to your private online gallery within two days. Additional prints and products are available to order from the gallery for two months after your session.

Additionally – we include a complimentary voucher for Baby’s first Christmas shoot for all families who have booked during each year.

How it works

Most families get in touch 3-4 days after birth to arrange the exact timing of a session, though you’re welcome to reach out earlier if you’d like to chat through timing or styling.
