Nick will collect you from your accommodation for the scenic 50-minute drive to the harbour. Departing Kenmare early afternoon, back by early evening.
Atlantic Gannets · Little Skellig holds one of the largest gannet colonies in the world — over 30,000 breeding pairs. From the water you’ll be close enough to photograph birds in flight, diving, and at rest on the rock face.
Puffins · An improbability of puffins — Skellig Michael’s ledges are home to thousands during the summer season, photographed at close range from the boat.
Razorbills & Guillemots · Black and white seabirds in numbers, working the water around both islands throughout the afternoon.
Manx Shearwaters · One of the great ocean wanderers, shearing low across the water between the islands — barely a wingbeat above the surface. Skellig waters hold significant numbers during the summer months.
